Meet Janki Patel – The Heart Behind the Academy

Real estate wasn’t just a career for me—it became the path that shaped my resilience, my mindset, and eventually, my mission to help others do the same.

Nearly 18 years ago, I began my journey in New Jersey. By day, I worked as a Loan Officer to support my family; by night, I was taking classes and raising two young children. My real estate career had a quiet start—just a few deals here and there. But like many women, I was in a season of life where family came first, and that was okay.

Then came 2008—and with it, the financial crisis that changed everything. I found myself in foreclosure, fighting to keep our family home, and eventually had to face the unthinkable: leaving New Jersey and driving across the country with my two children, unsure of what came next. We stayed in motels and arrived in California with very little—but I carried hope, determination, and an unshakable belief that we would rebuild.

And we did.

While waiting for my California real estate license, I took a job stuffing 700 to 1,000 envelopes a day for a top agent. I didn’t know a soul in California. I had no leads, no team, no roadmap—just sheer will. I cold-called agents asking for help, advice, anything—and heard crickets. But one agent mentioned a website where I could buy leads. I paid $300 and signed up, only to realize…I had no idea what to do with them.

What followed was a season of trial and error—learning how to speak to leads, building my own scripts, and figuring it all out one call at a time. It wasn’t easy. But I kept showing up, and little by little, I began to see results.

Fast forward a few years, and I was consistently closing 10 to 13 listings annually. My husband and I had just moved into a fixer-upper when he lost his job, and I knew I had to step up—again. That moment was a turning point. I had two choices: give in to fear, or rise up with faith. I chose faith. And I went all in.

By 2016, my business had grown to the point where I brought my husband onto the team, hired several virtual assistants, and began stepping into a role that lit my soul on fire: coaching.

That’s how the Janki Patel Training Academy was born.

Because I know what it’s like to start from zero.
I know what it’s like to feel lost, alone, and unsure if you’ll ever make it.
But I also know what’s possible when you refuse to give up on yourself.

This academy is for every agent who has big dreams but doesn’t know where to start. It’s for the single mom juggling everything, the new agent who feels invisible, the go-getter who just needs someone to believe in them.

While the foundation is rooted in real estate, the insights are universal—perfect for entrepreneurs in any field looking to build a purpose-driven, sustainable business.

In addition to coaching and training, I’ve also had the honor of speaking on live stages and webinars across the country, sharing my story, systems, and mindset shifts with agents, business owners, and teams. Public speaking allows me to connect on a deeper level—because when people hear the real story, the messy middle, and the mindset behind the wins, something powerful clicks. They realize: If she can do it, I can too.
